  * Centre notifies lifetime visa for PIO cardholders
       
 1. PIO (Person of Indian Origin) are now eligible for life long visa to visit India.
 2. To get a PIO card an applicant should have a valid passport.
 3. PIO card will be issued by the HOME MINISTRY of India.
 4. Earlier PIO cards permitted only 15 years validity and thereafter has to be extended for 10 years
 5. PIO card is not allowed for nationals of Pakistan, Bangladesh, Afganistan, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Nepal and China.

   
  * ISRO set for OCT. 10 launch of navigation satellite.

 1. INSS-1c will be the third piece in the Indian navigation fleet dubbed the "Indian GPS".
 2. According to ISRO it will be flown on the indigenous PSLV-C26 rocket.
 3. The Indian Regional Navigation Satellite System is a seven satellite fleet.
 4. INSS is being put up to ensure precise information on location and time for civil an military users on land, air and sea.
